You & It: Award-Winning Korean AI Musical to Make London Premiere

A critically acclaimed Korean musical exploring love, loss and artificial intelligence is set to make its London debut at the King's Head Theatre this summer, led by Olivier Award nominee Frances Mayli McCann and rising star Zachary Pang.
The internationally acclaimed Korean musical You & It will receive its London premiere at the King's Head Theatre from 20 August to 26 September, bringing a poignant and thought-provoking story about grief, memory and artificial intelligence to UK audiences. Following successful productions in South Korea and Taiwan, as well as an English-language presentation at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the award-winning two-person musical continues its international journey.
Set in a near-future world where humans and AI coexist, the story follows a grieving widower who encounters an artificial intelligence created in the image of his late wife. As technology offers the possibility of rekindling a lost relationship, he is forced to confront difficult questions about memory, identity and what it truly means to love. Combining an intimate narrative with a contemporary score, You & It explores the increasingly relevant relationship between humanity and technology.
Olivier Award nominee Frances Mayli McCann, recently seen in The Great Gatsby, stars as Mina alongside Zachary Pang as Gyujin, with Lucy Park serving as understudy. The production is directed by Esther Jun, with lyrics by Ricky Allan and dramaturgy and additional lyrics by Yojiro Ichikawa.
Originally written by Seoeun Oh and Q Lee, the musical has earned widespread acclaim, including Best Musical at the Daegu International Musical Festival. Its London premiere highlights the growing international appeal of original Korean musical theatre, presenting audiences with an emotionally resonant story that feels especially timely in an age of rapidly advancing AI technology.
