Teri Hatcher to Take Over as Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada

Golden Globe-winning actress Teri Hatcher is set to take over the iconic role of Miranda Priestly in the West End production of The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical at London’s Dominion Theatre.
Hatcher will make her debut as the formidable editor-in-chief of Runway magazine on 20 October 2026, following Vanessa Williams’ final performance on 19 September. Debbie Kurup will play Miranda for a limited period between Williams and Hatcher, from 21 September to 17 October.
Best known for her television roles as Susan Mayer in Desperate Housewives and Lois Lane in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Hatcher also has an impressive musical theatre résumé. She made her stage musical debut as Sally Bowles in the national tour of Sam Mendes’ revival of Cabaret and more recently appeared as Morticia Addams in The Addams Family.
Speaking about joining the West End hit, Hatcher described Miranda as “intelligent, commanding” and celebrated the opportunity to embrace the character’s sharp wit, fierce ambition and unmistakable style.
With music by Elton John, The Devil Wears Prada is based on Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel and the hit 2006 film. The West End production opened in December 2024 and has become the fastest-selling show in the Dominion Theatre’s history.
Hatcher’s run as Miranda Priestly is currently scheduled through 6 February 2027.
