Miss Saigon returns to the West End

The musical will open at the Prince Edward Theatre in May 2027

Miss Saigon will return to the West End for a strictly limited season at the Prince Edward Theatre from May 2027, marking its first London run in over a decade. The announcement comes while the production continues a major UK & Ireland tour through August 2026, with return engagements in Manchester and Birmingham following exceptional demand. Further details, including casting and performance dates, will be revealed in due course.

Set during the final days of the Vietnam War, the musical tells the story of Kim, a young woman whose brief romance with American GI Chris is shattered by the fall of Saigon. Her powerful journey of survival and sacrifice unfolds over three years, unaware that Chris has left believing their story is over.

Since its 1989 West End premiere, Miss Saigon has become one of the most successful musicals of all time, playing in 33 countries, winning 75 major awards, and reaching more than 38 million people worldwide. Featuring a soaring score by Claude-Michel Schönberg, including The Heat Is On in Saigon and The American Dream, the show continues to break box office records globally.

The new production is directed by Jean-Pierre Van Der Spuy, with choreography by Chrissie Cartwright and Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, and an award-winning creative team across design, lighting, sound, and video.
